Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has admitted that he “probably” made a bad decision in Manchester United ‘s 4-2 loss to Leicester City.
The Red Devils boss opted to start captain Harry Maguire at the King Power Stadium, despite the defender training just once following an injury which ruled him out of four games for club and county.
Maguire had only been back training on grass on Friday but with fellow centre-back Raphael Varane injured, the 28-year-old declared himself fit enough to feature.
Unfortunately for United, the ex-Leicester man had a torrid time on his return and Solskjaer has taken responsibility for the decision.
“I pick the team and Harry showed no reaction after what he’s gone through,” Solskjaer told Sky Sports post-match.
