Manchester United manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has claimed the Red Devils missed Fred and Edinson Cavani during their 4-2 Premier League defeat to Leicester City on Saturday.

Fred and Cavani missed Man United’s clash against Leicester at the King Power stadium after featuring for their countries’ World Cup qualifier on Friday.

Fred represented Brazil, while Cavani played for Uruguay. Brazil defeated Uruguay 4-1 in the encounter.

Speaking after Leicester defeated Man United, Solskjaer said at his post-match press conference, “I have got many good players.

Fred, Edinson Cavani, you miss them. I am not making excuses for the team I put out there, they are top footballers and we have not produced.”

The defeat against Leicester means Man United are now in the 5th position on the Premier League table with 14 points from eight games.

Their next Premier League is against Liverpool on October 24 at Old Trafford.
