Staff Awards: Lagos Traffic Radio expresses appreciation to LASG

The General Manager, Lagos Traffic Radio, Tayo Akanle, has appreciated the Lagos State Government for including four members of the Station among the recipients of the Year 2021 Outstanding Officers Awards.

Akanle, who expressed his appreciation to the State government while receiving the awardees in his office, noted that the Award is a reflection of the Station’s strategic importance and relevance towards the attainment of the T.H.E.M.E.S Agenda of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu led administration.

He said four staff of the Lagos Traffic Radio were among 166 Public Servants from the various Ministries, Agencies and Departments (MDAs) of the Lagos State Government, who received the Outstanding Staff Awards at the Grand Finale of the Public Service Week at the LTV Blue Roof, Agidingbi, Ikeja.

According to him, “The Awardees from the Agency include the Assistant Director, Programmes, Mr. Victor Oteri and Assistant Director, News and Current Affairs, Mrs. Adeola Akindele for the Senior Category. Senior Security Guard, Mr. Peter Eche and Office Attendant, Miss. Mary Jolayemi for the Junior Category”.

In their response, the awardees thanked the Lagos State Government and the Management of Lagos Traffic Radio for the gesture with a promise to put in more efforts to improve the Civil Service, while contributing to the attainment of the Traffic Station’s mandate.

Recall that the Lagos State Government established the Traffic Station to provide timely, reliable, accurate, dynamic, Innovative and informative traffic news to its teeming listeners, especially residents of the State.
