In observance of the International Day for the Preservation of the Ozone Layer, the Sterling One Foundation has reiterated its dedication to safeguarding the ozone layer as a key aspect of its broader climate action strategy.
The Foundation stressed the importance of global cooperation in addressing ozone depletion and combating climate change, aligning these efforts with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) set for 2030.
Ozone layer protection plays a crucial role in shielding ecosystems and human health by reducing harmful ultraviolet (UV) radiation, which is linked to environmental damage and health risks. As part of its focus on climate action, the Sterling One Foundation continues to drive initiatives aimed at reducing these risks and fostering sustainable development.
Olapeju Ibekwe, CEO of Sterling One Foundation, emphasized the significance of ozone protection within the organization’s climate strategy, saying, “Safeguarding the ozone layer is critical to ensuring the long-term health of both our environment and our communities.
