Stop Judging

By Sam Adeoye

This article is not for everyone. Therefore, if you are not a mature believer and cannot reason things outside the box; allowing the Spirit of God to reveal to you the hiding mysteries in the word, then I suggest you stop reading this now and find something else to do with your time. But if you are a kind of a person that believe God is bigger and more dynamic in nature than you’d been told, taught or read; then you can continue reading because this article is about the truth and for the truth, just as Jesus Christ said to the Jews who believed Him in John 8:31-32 that, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed.  And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” NKJV

I love the way TMB puts it saying; “then Jesus turned to the Jews who had claimed to believe in him. “If you stick with this, living out what I tell you, you are my disciples for sure. Then you will experience for yourselves the truth, and the truth will free you.”

To be free from all lies and manipulations of Man, Jesus Christ gave conditions.

NKJV

believed Him in Jesus

abide in His word

be His disciples indeed

you shall know the truth

the truth shall make you free

TMB

Believed Him in Jesus

You stick with living out what Jesus tell you

Be His disciples for sure

Then you will experience for yourselves the truth

The truth will free you

One major reasons why so many people are suffering in the world today is because of the many lies they’d been told most especially the people living in Africa about God and their faith in God. And Prophet Isaiah made this clear in Isaiah 59:14-15 saying; “justice is turned back, and righteousness stands afar off; for TRUTH is fallen in the street, and equity cannot enter. So truth fails, and he who departs from evil makes himself a prey.” NKJV

Another translation says;

Justice is beaten back, righteousness is banished to the sidelines, TRUTH staggers down the street, honesty is nowhere to be found, good is missing in action. Anyone renouncing evil is beaten and robbed.

TMB

Justice is driven away, and right cannot come near. TRUTH stumbles in the public square, and honesty finds no place there. There is so little honesty that those who stop doing evil find themselves the victims of crime.” GNT

So many people are where they are in life today because of the lies they’d been presented with as truth and they bought into it wholeheartedly thinking and believing that they are doing what is right and truthful to God and humanity, meanwhile they are actually living life and doing things contrary to the will, plans and purpose of God for their lives.

God warned us in Proverbs 22:28 saying; “do not remove the ancient landmark which your fathers have set.

What is the ancient landmark which your fathers have set?

The ancient landmark which your fathers have set are the traditions, the rules and regulations that govern the family you are born into. You cannot operate or live your life against it and prosper. And God made this clear in Hosea 5:10 saying; “the princes of Judah are like those who remove a landmark; I will pour out My wrath on them like water.”

What is wrath?

Wrath means, anger, rage, fury

What is the wrath of God?

In Exodus 22:24 God said; “My wrath will become hot, and I will kill you with the sword; your wives shall be widows, and your children fatherless.”

In Exodus 32:10 God said; “My wrath may burn hot against them and I may consume them.”

NKJV

In 2 Kings 22:17 God said; “My wrath shall be aroused against this place and shall not be quenched.”

In Psalm 78:31 King David said; “the wrath of God came against them, and slew the stoutest of them, and struck down the choice men of Israel.”

The wrath of God, the anger of God, the rage of God and the fury of God is bound to take place in the life of anyone that goes or live his or her lives contrary to the rules and regulations that governs the family he or she is born into. And if you think because you are now a Christian you are godlier than the rest of your family members who are not Christians and are not serving Jesus Christ as you are, and therefore you can escape the wrath, you deceive yourself.

Note that Jesus Christ did not die for Christians or those that goes to church or for those that will serve Him or are serving Him or worship Him; no! Jesus Christ died for whoever believes in him; and He made this clear in John 6:35 saying; “I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst.

He went further in John 6:47 saying; “most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me has everlasting life.”

Then in John 7:38 saying; “he who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.”

Again in John 11:25-26 He said; “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live.  26 And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?”

He did not stop there, He went further in John 12:44-50 to say that; “he who believes in Me, believes not in Me but in Him who sent Me.  45 And he who sees Me sees Him who sent Me. I have come as a light into the world, that whoever believes in Me should not abide in darkness. And if anyone hears My words and does not believe, I do not judge him; for I did not come to judge the world but to save the world. He who rejects Me, and does not receive My words, has that which judges him — the word that I have spoken will judge him in the last day. For I have not spoken on My own authority; but the Father who sent Me gave Me a command, what I should say and what I should speak. And I know that His command is everlasting life. Therefore, whatever I speak, just as the Father has told Me, so I speak.”

To worship God in other words, Jesus Christ said is not by going to a place or following a particular set of rules but by connecting to God individually in our inner man and He made this clear in John 4:21-24 when He was talking with the woman by the well saying; “Woman, believe Me, the hour is coming when you will neither on this mountain, nor in Jerusalem, worship the Father. You worship what you do not know; we know what we worship, for salvation is of the Jews. But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.”

Until your worship becomes personal between you and God, all your activities and efforts to serve God, worship God or be closer to God remains a fruitless religious activities and Jesus Christ made this clearer further when He said in Matthew 6:5-6 saying; “and when you pray, you shall not be like the hypocrites. For they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the corners of the streets, that they may be seen by men. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward. But you, when you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly.”

The word secret here means private and personal between you and God; and He went further to admonish us to apply the same method of privacy and personal between us and God even in our charity works. This He made clear in Matthew 6:1-4 saying; “take heed that you do not do your charitable deeds before men, to be seen by them. Otherwise you have no reward from your Father in heaven. Therefore, when you do a charitable deed, do not sound a trumpet before you as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory from men. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward. But when you do a charitable deed, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, that your charitable deed may be in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will Himself reward you openly.”

This same is also applicable when we fast. And this He also made clear in Matthew 6:16-18 saying; “moreover, when you fast, do not be like the hypocrites, with a sad countenance. For they disfigure their faces that they may appear to men to be fasting. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward. But you, when you fast, anoint your head and wash your face, so that you do not appear to men to be fasting, but to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly.“

When serving God and building relationship with God becomes private and personal between you and God; then God instructing you on what you needed to do from point A of your life to point B of your life now become a thing so easy to attain; one that is void of religion and filled with the power, presence and the manifestation of God and this is pure relationship based and not religion based. Which means it doesn’t matter if you are a Christian, Muslim, Jainism, Hinduism, Baha’i, Judaism, Sikhism, Spiritism, Shinto, Cao Dai, Zoroastrianism, Tenrikyo, Animism, Neo-Paganism, Unitarian Universalism, Rastafari, Secular, Nonreligion, Agnostic, Atheist, Ethnic Religions or Traditional person, so long you have a relationship with God you’re good to go.

This was true of Balaam, the diviner whom Balak called to curse the children of Israel, but because of his relationship with God, God warned him not to curse them but to bless them.

In Numbers 22:12-21, it was said that “God said to Balaam, “You shall not go with them; you shall not curse the people, for they are blessed.” So Balaam rose in the morning and said to the princes of Balak, “Go back to your land, for the Lord has refused to give me permission to go with you.” And the princes of Moab rose and went to Balak, and said, “Balaam refuses to come with us.” Then Balak again sent princes, more numerous and more honorable than they. And they came to Balaam and said to him, “Thus says Balak the son of Zippor: ‘Please let nothing hinder you from coming to me; for I will certainly honor you greatly, and I will do whatever you say to me. Therefore please come, curse this people for me.’” Then Balaam answered and said to the servants of Balak, “Though Balak were to give me his house full of silver and gold, I could not go beyond the word of the Lord my God, to do less or more. Now therefore, please, you also stay here tonight, that I may know what more the Lord will say to me.” And God came to Balaam at night and said to him, “If the men come to call you, rise and go with them; but only the word which I speak to you—that you shall do.” So Balaam rose in the morning, saddled his donkey, and went with the princes of Moab.”

Balaam is one person the people in the church today will look at and called a sinner, one that will end up in Lake of Fire, and yet he was a Man with strange working relationship with God.

For him to go to God twice to enquiry if he should go or not is a clear evidence that that was not the first time he’s been making requires from the Lord. Something some Christians lack big time. If you want to go far in life, you must learn to make enquiry from the Lord.

Now, before you begin to cast stone and claim that some religion doesn’t believe in God, let’s further establish some facts before we examine the life of Abraham.

According to some estimates, there are over 4,000 religions, faith groups, and denominations that exist around the world today; and they are categorized into five major groups namely; Christianity, Islam, Buddhism, Hinduism and Judaism. Three out of these five major groups namely; Christianity, Islam, and Judaism believe in one God and denying the existence of other gods.

Now, most religion, in some way, attempt to contemplate the divine; and some of them get closer than others. In this sense we can say that all religions lead to God. And there are several religion in the world that directly or indirectly follows the Bible including; Christianity, Islam, Samaritanism and Judaism.

Let me quickly clear some misconception here. Many Christians believes that Islam is not from God, and some Muslim people also believe that Christians are not of God. This is a huge error and it is an error created by some individuals to distract the ignorance and take advantage of the fools.

The journey into what we know and called religion in the world today began with Nimrod in Genesis 10:8-12 where it was said that “Cush begot Nimrod; he began to be a mighty one on the earth. He was a mighty hunter before the Lord; therefore it is said, “Like Nimrod the mighty hunter before the Lord.” And the beginning of his kingdom was Babel, Erech, Accad, and Calneh, in the land of Shinar. From that land he went to Assyria and built Nineveh, Rehoboth Ir, Calah, and Resen between Nineveh and Calah (that is the principal city).

Now, to really understand whom Nimrod was, we need to go back to Genesis 6:1-4 where it was said that; “now it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born to them, that the sons of God saw the daughters of men, that they were beautiful; and they took wives for themselves of all whom they chose. And the Lord said, “My Spirit shall not strive with man forever, for he is indeed flesh; yet his days shall be one hundred and twenty years.” There were giants on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of men and they bore children to them. Those were the mighty men who were of old, men of renown.”

Nimrod first attempt to reach God and made himself a channel for the whole world to reach God was in Genesis 11:1-9 when the tower of Babel was erected and it was said that; “now the whole earth had one language and one speech. And it came to pass, as they journeyed from the east, that they found a plain in the land of Shinar, and they dwelt there. Then they said to one another, “Come, let us make bricks and bake them thoroughly.” They had brick for stone, and they had asphalt for mortar. And they said, “Come, let us build ourselves a city, and a tower whose top is in the heavens; let us make a name for ourselves, lest we be scattered abroad over the face of the whole earth.” But the Lord came down to see the city and the tower which the sons of men had built. And the Lord said, “Indeed the people are one and they all have one language, and this is what they begin to do; now nothing that they propose to do will be withheld from them. Come, let Us go down and there confuse their language, that they may not understand one another’s speech.” So the Lord scattered them abroad from there over the face of all the earth, and they ceased building the city. Therefore its name is called Babel, because there the Lord confused the language of all the earth; and from there the Lord scattered them abroad over the face of all the earth.”

This was and is the beginning of religion in the world and the strength of religion is; “unity in purpose, e.g. “indeed the people are one and they all have one language, and this is what they begin to do; now nothing that they propose to do will be withheld from them.”

Jesus also confirmed this system of unity in purpose in John 17:20-23 when He prayed that; “I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word; that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me. And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one: I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me.”

While religion progress by unity in purpose, it also dies by division; and the division of any religion is misunderstanding of purpose and this was what God proposed when He said; “come, let Us go down and there confuse their language, that they may not understand one another’s speech.” Once misunderstanding take roots in any religious settings, that religion is bound to fail and Jesus Christ again established this when he said in Matthew 12:25; “every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation, and every city or house divided against itself will not stand.”

Every religion on the earth is built on these two facts and that is the reasons why every reasonable organisations be it religion, government, business or private institutions will do anything and everything possible within their power to keep their members together in unity of purpose. And this is exactly what Abraham did from the very moment God called him out of his family.

So many people believed that Abraham was a Christian and served God all his life. No, Abraham the father of faith and the generations that came from him that we known and called the tribes of Israel were all idol worshippers.

Abraham was never a Christian. He was an idol worshipper and he took the idea of idol worship to the level of connecting with God when he started the act of meditation and the hours of praying.

Even though there was no biblical reference to this, we known that children take after their parents and in Genesis 24:63 it was said that; “Isaac went out to meditate in the field in the evening”. For Isaac to would have done that; that means he had seeing Abraham his father doing the same and what Abraham started then, later grew to become Abrahamic Religion, which later became Samaritanism, then to Judaism Religion and final to what we called and known as Christianity and Islam Religion today.

Abraham is from an Idol worship family and he remains an idol worship person all his life. God said to Abraham in Genesis 12:1 to “get out of your country, from your family and from your father’s house, to a land that I will show you.” Not to get out of the culture and the tradition of his family.

Even though it was not clearly stated in the Bible that Abraham practice idolatry or still held to the culture and the tradition of his family; his actions and decisions made that clear.

Abraham got a Wife for his son Isaac from his idol worship family in Genesis 24:1-4 it was clearly stated that “now Abraham was old, well advanced in age; and the Lord had blessed Abraham in all things. So Abraham said to the oldest servant of his house, who ruled over all that he had, “Please, put your hand under my thigh, and I will make you swear by the Lord, the God of heaven and the God of the earth, that you will not take a wife for my son from the daughters of the Canaanites, among whom I dwell; but you shall go to my country and to my family, and take a wife for my son Isaac.”

Isaac married a Lady from an Idol worship family and from his our family e.g. his Cousin; in Genesis 24:23-24 Abraham servant said, “Whose daughter are you? … So she said to him, “I am the daughter of Bethuel, Milcah’s son, whom she bore to Nahor.” And he said, “Blessed be the Lord God of my master Abraham, who has not forsaken His mercy and His truth toward my master. As for me, being on the way, the Lord led me to the house of my master’s brethren.” Then Laban and Bethuel answered and said, “The thing comes from the Lord; we cannot speak to you either bad or good. Here is Rebekah before you; take her and go, and let her be your master’s son’s wife, as the Lord has spoken.” And it came to pass, when Abraham’s servant heard their words, that he worshiped the Lord, bowing himself to the earth. And Isaac went out to meditate in the field in the evening; and he lifted his eyes and looked, and there, the camels were coming. Then Rebekah lifted her eyes, and when she saw Isaac she dismounted from her camel; for she had said to the servant, “Who is this man walking in the field to meet us?” The servant said, “It is my master.” So she took a veil and covered herself. And the servant told Isaac all the things that he had done. Then Isaac brought her into his mother Sarah’s tent; and he took Rebekah and she became his wife, and he loved her. So Isaac was comforted after his mother’s death.

Genesis 24:27, Genesis 24:50-52, Genesis 24:63-67

Rebekah had two sons for Isaac, Esau and Jacob, but she loved Jacob more and this was made clear in Genesis 25:28 where it was said that “Isaac loved Esau because he ate of his game, but Rebekah loved Jacob.”

Every mother teaches their children the values, principles and ideologies they grow up with. This means, there are possibilities of Rebekah teaching Jacob some of the things she knew about idolatry while growing up with her family.

Isaac sent Jacob to Laban’s house; the very house where the family Idol resided to go and get a wife. Then Isaac called Jacob and blessed him, and charged him, and said to him: “You shall not take a wife from the daughters of Canaan. Arise, go to Padan Aram, to the house of Bethuel your mother’s father; and take yourself a wife from there of the daughters of Laban your mother’s brother. Genesis 28:1-2

Jacob anointed a stone on his way to Laban’s house and cut a covenant with God; and the covenant became a reality. Up until now, it had never been told or heard of anyone doing such; and till date, only the Idolatry worshipers anoint stones with Red Oil, made declarations and it comes to effect immediately good or bad. This was made clear in Genesis 28:17-22 where it was said that “then Jacob awoke from his sleep and said, “Surely the Lord is in this place, and I did not know it.” And he was afraid and said, “How awesome is this place! This is none other than the house of God, and this is the gate of heaven!” Then Jacob rose early in the morning, and took the stone that he had put at his head, set it up as a pillar, and poured oil on top of it. And he called the name of that place Bethel; but the name of that city had been Luz previously. Then Jacob made a vow, saying, “If God will be with me, and keep me in this way that I am going, and give me bread to eat and clothing to put on, so that I come back to my father’s house in peace, then the Lord shall be my God. And this stone which I have set as a pillar shall be God’s house, and of all that You give me I will surely give a tenth to You.”

Jacob married Two of his Cousins; this was made clear in Genesis 29:25-30 saying; “so it came to pass in the morning, that behold, it was Leah. And he said to Laban, “What is this you have done to me? Was it not for Rachel that I served you? Why then have you deceived me?” And Laban said, “It must not be done so in our country, to give the younger before the firstborn. Fulfill her week, and we will give you this one also for the service which you will serve with me still another seven years.” Then Jacob did so and fulfilled her week. So he gave him his daughter Rachel as wife also. And Laban gave his maid Bilhah to his daughter Rachel as a maid. Then Jacob also went in to Rachel, and he also loved Rachel more than Leah. And he served with Laban still another seven years.”

Rachel had her first child for Jacob and she called his name Joseph meaning “God will give”. Even though we do not read in the Bible about the love between Rachel and her long awaited son Joseph, we all knows that it’s natural for a Mother to love her child most especially if it’s took her years to have the child. So, just like Rebekah and Jacob, there is possibility of a repeat of event between Rachel and Joseph; teaching him all she knew about the family Idols, traditions and cultures.

When Jacob was leaving Laban’s house with his family, Rachel his wife took the family idols with her as it was said in Genesis 31:34 that; “now Rachel had taken the household idols, put them in the camel’s saddle, and sat on them. And Laban searched all about the tent but did not find them.”

When God wanted to prepare a place for Jacob and his children to preserve their lives during firming, it was Joseph the first son of the woman with the family Idols in her possessions that He used. Joseph made this clear in Genesis 45:4-8 when he “said to his brothers, “Please come near to me.” So they came near. Then he said: “I am Joseph your brother, whom you sold into Egypt. But now, do not therefore be grieved or angry with yourselves because you sold me here; for God sent me before you to preserve life. For these two years the famine has been in the land, and there are still five years in which there will be neither plowing nor harvesting. And God sent me before you to preserve a posterity for you in the earth, and to save your lives by a great deliverance. So now it was not you who sent me here, but God; and He has made me a father to Pharaoh, and lord of all his house, and a ruler throughout all the land of Egypt.”

Joseph married Asenath, the daughter of Poti-Pherah Priest of On; another strong Idol worship family in Egypt. Genesis 41:45 made it clear that “Pharaoh called Joseph’s name Zaphnath-Paaneah. And he gave him as a wife Asenath, the daughter of Poti-Pherah priest of On. So Joseph went out over all the land of Egypt.”

Asenath had two sons for Jacob Manasseh and Ephraim and the Bible made this clear in Genesis 41:50-52 saying; “to Joseph were born two sons before the years of famine came, whom Asenath, the daughter of Poti-Pherah priest of On, bore to him. Joseph called the name of the firstborn Manasseh: “For God has made me forget all my toil and all my father’s house.” And the name of the second he called Ephraim: “For God has caused me to be fruitful in the land of my affliction.”

Joseph the Man that understood the ways of the gods two sons Ephraim and Manasseh; became the biological sons of Jacob in  Genesis 48:3-6 when “Jacob said to Joseph: “God Almighty appeared to me at Luz in the land of Canaan and blessed me, and said to me, ‘Behold, I will make you fruitful and multiply you, and I will make of you a multitude of people, and give this land to your descendants after you as an everlasting possession.’ And now your two sons, Ephraim and Manasseh, who were born to you in the land of Egypt before I came to you in Egypt, are mine; as Reuben and Simeon, they shall be mine. Your offspring whom you beget after them shall be yours; they will be called by the name of their brothers in their inheritance.”

Ephraim and Manasseh the two sons of Joseph became tribes in Israel. For the children of Joseph were two tribes, Manasseh and Ephraim: therefore they gave no part unto the Levites in the land, save cities to dwell in, with their suburbs for their cattle and for their substance. Joshua 14:4

Prophet Samuel is from the Tribe of Ephraim, the seeds that produced him are well rooted in Idolatry. In 1 Samuel 1:1-3 it was said that “now there was a certain man of RamathaimZophim, of the mountains of Ephraim, and his name was Elkanah the son of Jeroham, the son of Elihu, the son of Tohu, the son of Zuph, an Ephraimite. And he had two wives: the name of one was Hannah, and the name of the other Peninnah. Peninnah had children, but Hannah had no children. This man went up from his city yearly to worship and sacrifice to the Lord of hosts in Shiloh. Also the two sons of Eli, Hophni and Phinehas, the priests of the Lord, were there…then she made a vow and said, “O Lord of hosts, if You will indeed look on the affliction of Your maidservant and remember me, and not forget Your maidservant, but will give Your maidservant a male child, then I will give him to the Lord all the days of his life, and no razor shall come upon his head.” And it happened, as she continued praying before the Lord, that Eli watched her mouth. Now Hannah spoke in her heart; only her lips moved, but her voice was not heard. Therefore Eli thought she was drunk. So Eli said to her, “How long will you be drunk? Put your wine away from you!” But Hannah answered and said, “No, my lord, I am a woman of sorrowful spirit. I have drunk neither wine nor intoxicating drink, but have poured out my soul before the Lord. “Do not consider your maidservant a wicked woman, for out of the abundance of my complaint and grief I have spoken until now.” Then Eli answered and said, “Go in peace, and the God of Israel grant your petition which you have asked of Him.” And she said, “Let your maidservant find favor in your sight.” So the woman went her way and ate, and her face was no longer sad. Then they rose early in the morning and worshiped before the Lord, and returned and came to their house at Ramah. And Elkanah knew Hannah his wife, and the Lord remembered her. So it came to pass in the process of time that Hannah conceived and bore a son, and called his name Samuel, saying, “Because I have asked for him from the Lord.” 1 Samuel 1:11-20

Israel

In Revelation 7:1-8; the Bible listed the number of people that will be saved when the world comes to an end, One Hundred, Twenty Thousand by each Tribes of Israel and Ephraim and Manasseh were included still occupying two Tribes. God did not remove them because they have their root in idol. Beside, all the tribes have their roots in idolatry.

After these things I saw four angels standing at the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, on the sea, or on any tree. Then I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God. And he cried with a loud voice to the four angels to whom it was granted to harm the earth and the sea, saying, “Do not harm the earth, the sea, or the trees till we have sealed the servants of our God on their foreheads.” And I heard the number of those who were sealed. One hundred and forty-four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel were sealed:

Of the tribe of Judah twelve thousand were sealed;

Of the tribe of Reuben twelve thousand were sealed;

Of the tribe of Gad twelve thousand were sealed;

Of the tribe of Asher twelve thousand were sealed;

Of the tribe of Naphtali twelve thousand were sealed;

Of the tribe of Manasseh twelve thousand were sealed;

Of the tribe of Simeon twelve thousand were sealed;

Of the tribe of Levi twelve thousand were sealed;

Of the tribe of Issachar twelve thousand were sealed;

Of the tribe of Zebulun twelve thousand were sealed;

Of the tribe of Joseph twelve thousand were sealed;

Of the tribe of Benjamin twelve thousand were sealed.

The system and the practice of the Ark of the Covenant are the system and practice of idolatry. Of which is still happening in some of the churches today by erecting the cross, which is a symbol of crime and death and not of salvation in Christ; erecting the images of Mary the mother of Jesus Christ and some of the Apostles of Jesus Christ, or having the images of your Pastor or Bishop in your house and praying in the God of your Pastor or Bishop. That is idol worship my dear friend.

Everyone you read of in the Old Testament of the Bible that submit themselves to the worship of the Ark of the Covenant including King David are all idol worshippers and if you don’t know let me tell you.

The idea of the Ark was of Moses not of God. The idea of the Ark came as a result of the instructions God gave Noah to build Him an Ark in a Genesis 6:14 saying; “make yourself an ark of Gopher Wood…”; the children of Israel knew what ark means and they knew what the ark did in the days of Noah, so making one now as a sign to God and as a symbol of God among the children of Israel was easier. To avoid what happened to the people that ignored Noah, they have no other choice than to subject themselves to the worship and the demands of the Ark thinking it was a demand from God.

The laws were also Moses idea and Jesus made this clear when He said in John 7:18-19 that; “he who speaks from himself seeks his own glory; but He who seeks the glory of the One who sent Him is true, and no unrighteousness is in Him. Did not Moses give you the law, yet none of you keeps the law?”

How did Moses came about the idea of creating laws to lead the people right? He learnt that in Pharaoh’s Palace when he was growing up. Remember, he grew up in the Palace and he was the first person to be learned and exposed to the system of governance and leadership among the children of Israel aside from Ephraim and Manasseh the two sons of Joseph. A system he learnt in the Pharaoh’s Palace.

Before Moses, the children of Israel had never had a leader or anyone of like-mind to lead them. So Moses stepping in to lead creates opportunity for him to create systems, principles, practices and ideologies that will help him to lead the people.

Now, if Moses then gave the law as Jesus Christ said, it’s also means that Moses gave the Ark of the Covenant, the structures of the Temples and the system of worship to the children of Israel and not God.

If this is true, why then did God honoured it?

Good question. In Isaiah 44:26 it was said that God is He; “who carries out the words of his servants and fulfills the predictions of his messengers…” NIV

Other translation says…

Confirming the word of His servant and performing the purpose of His messengers. NASU

But he backs the word of his servant and confirms the counsel of his messengers. TMB

He confirms the word of his servant and fulfills the plan of his messengers. GWN

For you to understand how critical this is, we have to go back to 1 Kings 18:36-40 where it was said that; “and it came to pass, at the time of the offering of the evening sacrifice, that Elijah the prophet came near and said, “Lord God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, let it be known this day that You are God in Israel and I am Your servant, and that I have done all these things at Your word. Hear me, O Lord, hear me, that this people may know that You are the Lord God, and that You have turned their hearts back to You again.” Then the fire of the Lord fell and consumed the burnt sacrifice, and the wood and the stones and the dust, and it licked up the water that was in the trench. Now when all the people saw it, they fell on their faces; and they said,”The Lord, He is God! The Lord, He is God!” And Elijah said to them, “Seize the prophets of Baal! Do not let one of them escape!” So they seized them; and Elijah brought them down to the Brook Kishon and executed them there.

Then in 1 Kings 19:11-18 the narrative continued saying; “Go out, and stand on the mountain before the Lord.” And behold, the Lord passed by, and a great and strong wind tore into the mountains and broke the rocks in pieces before the Lord, but the Lord was not in the wind; and after the wind an earthquake, but the Lord was not in the earthquake; and after the earthquake a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire; and after the fire a still small voice. So it was, when Elijah heard it, that he wrapped his face in his mantle and went out and stood in the entrance of the cave. Suddenly a voice came to him, and said, “What are you doing here, Elijah?” And he said, “I have been very zealous for the Lord God of hosts; because the children of Israel have forsaken Your covenant, torn down Your altars, and killed Your prophets with the sword. I alone am left; and they seek to take my life.”

He went further saying; “go, return on your way to the Wilderness of Damascus; and when you arrive, anoint Hazael as king over Syria. Also you shall anoint Jehu the son of Nimshi as king over Israel. And Elisha the son of Shaphat of Abel Meholah you shall anoint as prophet in your place. It shall be that whoever escapes the sword of Hazael, Jehu will kill; and whoever escapes the sword of Jehu, Elisha will kill. Yet I have reserved seven thousand in Israel, all whose knees have not bowed to Baal, and every mouth that has not kissed him.”

This is God indirectly rejecting Elijah as a Prophet over the children of Israel for killing the Prophet of Baals and gave him strict instruction to anoint Elisha in his place which he never did.

Final Note

Be careful with how you fight the battle that doesn’t concerns you. Elijah killed all the Prophets of Baal with the hope that God will support him and hail him. But instead, God asked him who sent him? God practically told him that He has Prophets who had not bow their kennels to Baals.

At the same time, God told him to go and anoint Elisha in his place. That is God technically and practically rejected him as a Prophet. He too knew what God was up to, so he never anointed Elisha, never. So, stop believing in the lies that Elisha had the double portion of Elijah’s spirit, he never did.

Anyway, leave people and their choice of religion and faith alone. Everyone belongs to where God wants, he or she to be. Abraham the father of faith was an idol worshiper and yet have so much relationship with God to the point that God referred to him as His friend; so was Isaac, Jacob and even Joseph.

King David was an idol worshiper (Ark of the Covenant) and yet he was the friend of God and the father of Jesus Christ.

Stop getting yourself involved in other people’s choice of faith, stop condemning people for making a decision to be part of the religion they so wish to be part of. Focus your attention on your own life and personal relationship with God and stop getting involved in other people’s choice of faith. Judging other and condemning their choice of faith might cause you the little opportunity you have to build a relationship with God.
