A fuel tanker on Tuesday went up in flames along the Lagos-Ibadan highway, Ogun State.
The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) confirmed that the incident occurred few metres away from the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) Youth Centre, opposite Success Camp.
Ogun FRSC spokesman, Florence Okpe, said the crash occurred at about 4:16pm, on the outward section of the road.
According to Okpe, two male adults were involved in the fire accident.
“Fortunately, no death was recorded nor injury sustained,” Okpe told reporters.
She added that the lone accident involved the Man Diesel tanker, with registration number, WC4002-18.
“The suspected cause of the lone crash was mechanical deficiency, which resulted to fire outbreak.
“The Rescue Team (FRSC men) are still at the scene of the burning tanker with other sister agencies for the fire to be totally extinguished,” she added.
