Terrorists attempting Nigeria Law School invasion ambush Buhari’s guard in Abuja

The Presidential Guards Brigade was in a gun duel with terrorists on Monday in Abuja.

Three of the highly-trained officers suffered serious injuries as they were ambushed by the terrorists.

Sunrise.ng reports that there are fears the gunmen planned to attack the Nigerian Law School.

The signal seen by Nigerian Tribune confirmed that tropps on routine patrol along Kubwa–Bwari were ambushed by the suspected terrorists.

“Three soldiers were injured during the attack. The soldiers have been evacuated for medical attention. Details on the extent of their injuries are still under confirmation.

“The ambush attack happening within the general area of Bwari shows that the terrorists are actually within the location and possibly preparing to carry out their plans to attack the law school in Bwari as earlier reported”, it reads.

The Presidential Guards Brigade, an elite arm of the Nigerian Army, is responsible for protecting the President of Nigeria.

The attack occured just a day after terrorists threatened to abduct and kill President Muhammadu Buhari and Kaduna Governor, Nasir El-Rufai.
