Progress happens when there is a solid foundation and a willingness to build on it.
Earlier Today, I was proud to witness the first-ever test flight at the Gateway Agro International Airport, Iperu, Ikenne LGA, Ogun State. The project was conceived under the administration of Otunba Gbenga Daniel, former Governor of Ogun State, and brought to life by the administration of HE Prince Dapo Abiodun MFR. This goes to show how much can be achieved when we lay solid foundations that posterity can build on. This is the core tenet of progress.
The airport will be utilized as a tool for full participation as a serious player in the Africa Continental Free Trade Agreement, and also serve the Special Agriculture Processing Zones.
I congratulate the government and people of Ogun State for this enormous feat, especially Kunle Soname, a son of Remo, Ikenne, and owner of Value Jet, which was used for the test flight; and Hon. Commissioner of Works, Mr. Akinsanya, also a son of Ikenne, in the same Ikenne LGA, who was instrumental in bringing the Airport project to life.
