THINGS WOULD GET BETTER IN NIGERIA – REV. DR. OWOYEMI


The president and general overseer of the United Apostolic Church of Christ (UACC), Rev. Dr Owoyemi made this statement last Sunday at the thanksgiving service to commemorate the UACC annual youth conference held in Akure, Ondo State.


In a statement signed and released to the media by the media director of UACC, Paul Erakhifu. Rev.Dr. James Owoyemi pleaded with Nigerians to give the government some time so that things would get better soonest.

He said “The government could have done better on their promises but they are incapacitated, if they believe, trust and rely on God, they would improve and do better by improving the economy and embarking on transformational and developmental projects that would enable the Nigerians benefit from democracy”.


Rev. Dr. Owoyemi further asked Nigerians to always pray for the government, and stay connected to God by maintaining a cordial relationship with God “We should put our trust in Him for he can do all things he promised (i.e. the promise of the Father).


Rev. Dr. Owoyemi preached on the topic “The Promise of the Father”. We would get the promise of God, if we tarry and patiently wait on the promises of God. He further stressed that the promises of God are not automatic, one major condition is that one must tarry. He quoted Luke 24 vs 49 to explain further.


He added that to get the promises of God, the following must be done: Be part of him and his family –Isiah 1 vs 19, Be obedient and follow His rules, we should be humble – God honours the humble James 4 vs 10.
Chairman Caretaker Committee for the 2024 UACC annual youth conference, Pastor Moses Adeyemi appreciated the president and his wife, the trustees, generals and directors in UACC for their support and contribution to the success of the conference.


During the conference, there were lectures, teachings, power night vigil, bible study, games, quiz, meetings and other exciting events.
