The Director General of the Bola Ahmed Tinubu Support Group Management Council (BATSGMC) Hon. Abdulmumin Jibrin has said no matter the type of primary the All Progressives Congress (APC) decided to adopt, his candidate Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu would win landslide and eventually emerge as the President of the country in 2023.
Jibrin, who is a member of the House of Representatives, spoke on Tuesday, on Arise News Morning Show, hosted by Dr Reuben Abati, Rufai and Tudun Abiola and monitored in Lagos.
He said age is not a barrier for the frontrunner of the APC Presidential hopefuls, even as he urged the SouthEast to support the candidacy of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu for Presidency as it is their best chance to get their hopes met to take a shot at the presidency.
Jibrin who fielded questions ranging from health, corruption, among others, said he expects Nigerians to come up with such allegations because his candidate is a frontrunner in the election.
He said there is no notable politician in Nigeria today that has not been attacked of corrupt charges even as he said it is only the court of law that can pronounce anyone guilty of charges of corruption.
Asked if the candidate is physically fit and adequate stamina to carry the responsibility of the office, Jibrin said “everybody falls sick, but it does not attract public attention because they are not politically exposed. Tinubu was ill, he went to the hospital and today he is well and presently organising and mobilising for his ambition”.
He urged Nigerians to stop making a mountain out of a mole hill.
On the Muslim/Muslim ticket, Jibrin described Tinubu as a tactician and politician who knows the country so well and would be able to choose the best candidate that would be able to complement his ticket.
He said his focus is to sell the competence and capacity of his candidate who according to him has proved beyond all doubt with what he has done with the development masterplan he bequeathed to Lagos State and how he has stayed with President Muhammadu Buhari through thick and thin.
