The Group Chairman, United Bank for Africa (UBA) Plc, Tony Onyemachi Elumelu, CFR, clocked 60 years on Wednesday March 23, 2023 and in commemoration of this event, a symposium was held in his honour at the Tony Elumelu Amphitheatre in UBA House.

For the mercurial Tony Onyemachi Elumelu Chairman of of Tony Elumelu Foundation, March 22, which marks his 60th birthday could only be celebrated if it could be in the company of the African young entrepreneurs which his Foundation has helped to grow across the African continent in the last few years.

Every year, apart from 2020, when because of the lockdown in Nigeria and many other countries due to the COVID-19 devastation, the TOE Foundation has raised for Africa new economic giants with a $5000 grant with which to incubate and grow a business that would impact the world around them and Africa positively.

And from Cameroun, Burkina Fasso, Senegal, Nigeria and South Africa, they came, to see this living legend face to face and to express their appreciation for the lifeline which many claimed had changed their stories for good and to wish this man of many parts many happy returns.

Here are some of the photographs that made the day unique and special for Tony and his family.
