Chelsea manager, Enzo Maresca, has told the board that he is in support of their pursuit of Napoli’s Victor Osimhen.
The Blues are looking to bring in a striker this summer and are keeping tabs on Osimhen.
However, they are not ready to meet Napoli’s asking price of €130m (£110.8m) – his release clause.
The former Serie A champions have dropped their valuation to €100m (£85.8m), but Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain are still refusing to match that figure.
According to Sky Sports Italy, Maresca has personally approved the move for Osimhen, after their move to get Samu Omorodion from Atletico Madrid fell through over the weekend.
