The President and General Overseer of United Apostolic Church of Christ (UACC) worldwide, Rev. Dr. James Bayo Owoyemi has eulogized late Rev. Dr. Commander, Samuel Oloniyo Olorunyomi (Rtd) as a God fearing, dedicated and humble man of God, who left a good legacies worthy of emulation.
Rev. Dr. Owoyemi said this during the 10th year remembrance and thanksgiving service of late Rev. Dr. Commander, Samuel Oloniyo Olorunyomi (Rtd), held last Sunday 6th August, 2023 at the UACC headquarters, 5, Tesi street, Ajengule, Apapa, Lagos.
In a statement released by the Media Director of UACC, Pastor Paul I. Erakhifu. The UACC President, Rev. Dr. Owoyemi said “It’s good for everyone of us to live a good life while on earth, so that after our demise, we would be remembered for Good. Late Rev. Dr. Cdr Olorunyomi lived a glorious and commendable life style, with respect for others and full of humility”.
Rev. Dr. Owoyemi further explained that Late Rev. Dr. Cdr Olorunyomi kept a good relationship with the church and left behind a united and organized family.
Rev. Owoyemi quoted Rev. 14:13, Numb.
22:6, Romans 10:7 and urged Christians to have the fear of God, assist one another to lift the less privileged and put smiles on face of the poor, by so doing one would be remember long after living this earth.
Furthermore, Rev. Dr. Owoyemi said, those who died in the lord are having divine rest, they’re in God’s presence, good legacy and they would rise again.
The son of the deceased, Brigadier General, Gabriel Olorunyomi who spoke on behalf of the children thanked God for the unity and oneness in the family before and after the demise of their father. He appreciated relatives, friends and his colleagues in the Nigeria army for their support and for coming for the 10th year remembrance thanksgiving service of his father.
The General Treasurer of UACC and the Wife of late cdr. Samuel Olorunyomi appreciated God for his infinite mercy upon the family and thanked everyone for gracing the thanksgiving service. Those that graced the event are the wife of UACC President Rev. Mrs. Mary Owoyemi, UACC Auditor general, Rev. Felix Popoola, UACC Provost Rev. Pas. Samuel Afolabi, UACC Lagos State Superintendent, Pastor Dele Ishola, Ministers of God, Friends to the Olorunyomi’s family, relatives and Church members.
