ONE of the foremost commercial banks, Access Bank Plc, said plans are afoot to open 170 more branches nationwide, in the next phase of the ease of lockdown in the face of the coronavirus pandemic in the country.
They are to join the 397 Access Bank branches which are already opened nationwide since last week, bringing the total number of branches available for business across the country to 567.
All branches open between 9am to 2pm, to enable all their workers comply with the curfew order imposed by the president, which begins across the country at 8pm.
A statement from the bank said over 3,000 Automatic Teller Machines (ATMs) as well as AccessMore App the online payment transfer platform have been activated for the comfort of its customers, even as its USSD short code *901# is also active for airtime purchases, cash transfers and bills payments.
Its new innovation Access Closa agents the statement added are presently in 15,000 locations where customers can deposit or withdraw funds.
While urging all its customers to stay at home and stay safe during the coronavirus pandemic, the bank said its commitment to ensuring safe, prompt and convenient banking transaction is irrevocable.
