UNILAG Appoints Ayo Ogunsan as Advisory Board Member of CEDHUL

The University of Lagos (UNILAG) has announced the appointment of the Chairman and CEO of Executive Group, Dr. Ayo Ogunsan, as an Advisory Board Member of its Centre for Digital Humanities (CEDHUL).

The appointment which is in recognition of Ogunsan’s substantial contributions to national growth, education, social entrepreneurship, and humanity, was made on Wednesday, July 17.

The announcement came via a letter signed by the Director of CEDHUL, Prof. Tunde Ope-Davies, on behalf of the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Folasade Ogunsola, the Acting Director of the Research Management Office, and the academic community. The letter commended Dr. Ogunsan for his distinguished profile as an accomplished industry leader, social entrepreneur, and passionate education investor.

“You have been appointed as a Member of the Advisory Board of the Centre for Digital Humanities, University of Lagos (CEDHUL),” the letter stated.

“This appointment is a key component of the university policy of connecting ‘Town and Gown’ and aligns with international best practices, enabling our students and scholars to benefit from the expertise of successful industry players, public officers, mentors, and career coaches.”

Ogunsan, also a board member of the Lagos State Security Trust Fund (LSSTF), is expected to provide valuable counsel, support, and goodwill towards UNILAG’s academic, research, and community service initiatives.

The appointment is effective immediately, reinforcing the University of Lagos’s commitment to fostering collaborations that bridge academic theories with practical industry applications. This initiative ensures that the university community remains at the forefront of innovation and professional development.
