Former stalwart of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Dr Abdulazeez Olajide Adediran (Jandoor) and convener of the Lagos4Lagos Movement, has said with what happened in the state last Friday, the party is dead in Lagos.
He said the Movement which moved into the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) was informed by the strategy of moved into a party that already has a formidable structure across the nation and indeed the state.
Fielding questions on the Morning Show on Arise Television on Tuesday, Jandoor said the movement has over 100,000 member though about 40,000 of them were at the TBS ground for the reception ceremony where members of the movement were accepted into the PDP at at event attended by the Party’s National Chairman, nine state governors, two former governors, a former Senate President, and other very senior chieftains of the party.
He said the Lagos4Lagos movement which moved into the PDP, has the numbers to change the scenario and send the ruling party out of power in 2023.
He said the movement has huge numbers of APC stalwarts who are even still within and who cannot come out but are ready to wreck havoc from within to dislodge the APC.
He said the foot soldiers have left the APC and if they are willing to continue in office, they can bring their sons from everywhere to come and do the dirty works for them.
He said he will continue to work for the PDP even if he does not emerge a candidate of the party. “If PDP wins the huge numbers of people we moved into the party would be able to raise their soldiers with pride that they had moved to win for the party.
The solution to Lagos State is having an independent governor who can wake up, do good, take responsibility and take decisions for the good of the people.
We have said it over and over again to say that we are not coming to disrupt what is on ground, we are coming to add value ad we have the numbers to do that. We are in the PDP to consolidate and ensure that together we ensure that the party this time win the forthcoming election.
He said he could have remained in the APC and still obtain what he wanted, but dis not want a situation where he would need a second level approval for every action he chooses to take in the interest of the people.
