A member of the House of Representatives representing Kaduna North Federal Constituency, Mohammed Bello El-Rufai, has reaffirmed support for his father, former Kaduna State governor, Nasir El-Rufai, following a court sitting in Kaduna.

Speaking after proceedings at the Kaduna State High Court where the case involving the former governor was adjourned to April 14, 2026, Bello El-Rufai said the family and supporters remain united in solidarity.

“We continue to stand with Mallam in solidarity,” he said.

He also praised the former governor’s track record in public service, highlighting his contributions during his time at the Bureau of Public Enterprises (BPE), the Federal Capital Territory Administration, and his tenure as governor.

“We are proud of his administrative excellence and his public service record from his days in the Bureau of Public Enterprises (BPE), Ministry of Federal Capital Territory and as the father of Modern Kaduna,” he stated.

The lawmaker further extended condolences to victims of recent violence in parts of the country, including Jos and Maiduguri.

“I used the opportunity to commiserate with our brothers and sisters that were tragically killed in Jos and Maiduguri. May Almighty God bless their souls,” he said.

He called on leaders to prioritise the safety and welfare of citizens.

“And may He guide we leaders to focus on what really matters, the safety and socio-economic development of our citizens,” he added.
