Why I killed Super Tv CEO Usifo Ataga – 21 year-old Unilag student suspect

Days after the reported killing of the owner of Super Tv, Usifo Ataga, in the upper crust Lekki area of Lagos State, the Lagos State Police Command on Thursday paraded 21-year-old Chidinma arrested for allegedly killing the victim.

The Commissioner of Police, Hakeem Odumosu, said Chidinma is an undergraduate of the University of Lagos, adding that she had confessed to committing the crime.

Chidinma was paraded at the police command headquarters in Ikeja.

While the owner of the rented apartment where the tragic incident took place had been arrested, Odumosu also said Ataga’s account had been blocked to prevent further withdrawals from it by those taking advantage of his untimely death to deplete the account.

In her confessional statement, the suspect said she stabbed the victim because he became violent after a bout of sex and under the influence of drinks and drugs.

She said she felt sleepy after the drinks and became angry when Usifo demanded another round of sex and became violent by attacking her all over the kitchen.

She added that it was at this point that she went for the knife and stabbed Usifo.

Chidinma who revealed that she was arrested in her parents house in Yaba area of Lagos, said she withdrew only N350,000 from Usifo’s account after his death.

Chidinma was a 300 Level Mass Communications off campus student of the University of Lagos.
