In line with President Muhammadu Buhari’s roadmap of reduction in the number of out of school children, the Hon. Minister of State for Education, Hon. Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba officially launched the Better Education Service Delivery for All (BESDA) in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
Speaking at the launching yesterday, Nwajiuba, emphasized that the refocusing on education is inevitable because no nation or economy is ever viable without much investments in education.
Nwajiuba, reiterated the commitment of the Federal government to ensuring that education is made accessible and also affordable to the poorest of the poor and those at the rural areas.
According to the Minister “Federal Government will not rest on its oars until it puts paid to the problem of out of school children.
Rivers State Governor and Nwajiuba’s predecessor, Nyesom Wike lauded Nwajiuba and his team for the efforts and passion they have put into the Education sector in order to change the narratives.
Governor Wike, while commending the minister for not politicizing the lives and future of Nigerian children, pledged his continuous support to the Education sector by ensuring that 30% of the state’s budget goes to Education.
