Former Governor of Ondo State, Olusegun Mimiko has stated that Nigeria will overcome the series of challenges it is currently going through.
The ex-governor and a leader of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, who expressed optimism on the potential greatness of the country, said the feat will be achieved with the right leaders come 2023.
Mimiko, in his new year message, issued by his Special Assistant on Media and Digital Communications, John Paul Akinduro 2021 was no doubt a turbulent one for Nigerians.
In the message, he called on Nigerians to do the needful come 2023 by choosing the right leaders at the polls.
While reiterating his stand on restructuring as panacea to Nigeria’s many problems, the former governor emphasised that one of the things holding Nigeria back from greatness was the faulty electoral system of the country.
He admonished the National Assembly and President Muhammadu Buhari to do the needful in ensuring that the amended electoral act becomes a reality.
