A plea has gone to the leaders of the All Peoples Congress (APC), in Lagos State to involve more women in the politics and governance structure of the State beginning with the coming Babajide Sanwoolu administration.
The wife of the Deputy Governor-elect of Lagos State, Mrs Oluremi Hamzat made the plea this weekend at the 67th Birthday celebration of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, which held at the LTV Blue roof Agidingbi Ikeja by the Bola Ahmed Tinubu Women Organisation Forum (BATWOF) that it is one of the Lagos state expectation that the citizens excel and especially Mothers who take care of our children the future leader.
She stated that God the government to take it to a greater height of Lagosians joyful desires.
Mrs Hamzat congratulated Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and wished him a happy birthday and long life while she described Tinubu a Father who genuinely love his children to the extent of giving all a lot of opportunities to excel.
She urged the youth to always remain focus in all their endeavours in life that God is in control of everything.
The BATWOF President,Iyaafin Modupe Awodogbon A.K.A Iya Oniyan expressed in her welcome address that the essence of the Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu ‘s celebration was the reason for his good contributions to the development of humanities and the league of women have decided to celebrate and stand by him to ensure Lagos do not spoil but progress.
APC representative,Alhaja Ajao thereby appealed to the Lagos Governor’s elect Babajide Sanwoolu to ensure his administration end the issue of dumping Waste on the street of Lagos for a cleaner and healthier Lagos. She mention what she learnt from Jagaban as forgiving spirit and generosity on every condition that the youth also learn from with prayers of God’s mercy.. She mentioned.
Alhaja Ajao urged the youth to desist from violence to get empowered and be patient that whatever they desire now would still reach their hands at the right time.
The Women Leader of the Incoming Governor& Coordinator of the 57 Local Government, Mrs Ola Williams/ A.K.A Iron Lady thanked God for the APC Victory in Lagos state and the league of Women who came out enmasse to vote APC party in the general election all for the future progress of Lagos mothers children.
The Iron Lady exclaimed that women who who hide away from polities are creating suffering for their Children in future and are the ones who fail to fight for children future that if children end up graduating with certificates but fail to be absorbed employed is the Women faults so they should join hands together in polities to fight for our children future. She exclaimed.
