Yobe @ 31: Gov. Buni calls for continuous peace, security

As Yobe State clocks 31 years, Governor Mai Mala Buni has tasked people in the state to continue praying for improved peace and security in the state.

Buni gave the charge in his felicitation message to people of the state through his Spokesperson, Mamman Mohammed.

The Governor commended previous leaders and the people of the state for their individual and collective contributions towards placing the state on the path of peace and development.

He said each and everyone of the past leaders made generous contribution to make the state what it is today while the people extended their support and cooperations to the building of the state.

“As leaders of the state at various times, you have made tremendous contributions to the state, that makes us all proud”, he said.

Gov. Buni also commended the people of Yobe State both at home and in the diaspora for their support and contributions to the various administrations in the state.

“Your strong resilience has spurred this administration towards speedy building and recovery of the state after the decade long Boko Haram insurgency”, he said.

Buni assured that his administration will continue to execute people oriented projects and programmes to improve the lives of the people, while praying for more years with improved peace, security, prosperity and speedy development of the state.
