Life consists of two major elements. What you know and what you don’t. Even though it was said that what you don’t know cannot harm you; over the years I’ve come to realise that what you don’t know that you supposed to know cannot only harm you, it can destroy you and even kill you. Water and acid look alike; does that mean that if someone drinks acid thinking that he is drinking water, he will be alive? Definitely not. In that case, we can then agree that what you don’t know cannot only harm you, it can as well kill you.
Living your life for the purpose of going to heaven is a total waste of your life, time and purpose of existence. If your been in heaven is so important and meaningful, the Lord will not send you to the Earth. For the fact that you are sent here simply means you’re not useful in Heaven. There is a greater purpose for you to fulfill here on Earth and until that is done; your existence remain a waste. Jesus Christ said in John 4:34; “My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me, and to finish His work.”
If Jesus Christ could be more conscious about the will of God for His life, I see no reasons why you and I shouldn’t. Majority of us live our lives trying to fulfill the laws in the Bible or Qur’an so that we can make heaven; but totally forgot about the purpose for our existence and what it requires to fulfill the same.
Finding your purpose in life and fulfilling it is very crucial. Simeon the Priest said to Mary the mother of Jesus Christ in Luke 2:34-35, saying; “behold, this Child is destined for the fall and rising of many in Israel, and for a sign which will be spoken against (yes, a sword will pierce through your own soul also), that the thoughts of many hearts may be revealed.”
From the beginning Mary knew that the birth of Jesus Christ is going to cause her pains. Yes, she might not know to what degree the pain will be, but she knew that having Jesus Christ as her child equals pains. Mysle Munroe said; “when purpose is not known, abuse is inevitable.” It is easier for you or anyone to mess up your life when you don’t know the purpose for your existence.
No man, and I mean no man or woman on earth exist here for the purpose of religion. Never! God did not create any religion be it Christianity, Islam, Traditional, Hindus or any other religion groups. God created man and man create religion. All religions are creations of man and that is why they all have a founder.
Jesus Christ is not and has never been the founder of Christianity. Jesus said in Matthew 16:18 that; “I will build My church, and the gates of Hades “Hell” shall not prevail against it.” Church is not Christianity and Christianity is not a church. The church according to the words of Jesus Christ in Matthew 18:20 is “where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.” Christianity is what Agrippa called the followers of Jesus Christ in Acts 26:28. The question then is, how do you tell if someone is a follower of Christ or not?
To the best of my knowledge, church is a family. Church is you and the fellows within the church knowing each other so well to the point that you can stand in gap for one another come rain come sun. Church is loving one another as Christ had loved us and still loving us; just as Jesus Christ said in John 13:34-35 that; “a new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.”
Church is about loving each other no matter what the situation and the circumstances might be. Anything done outside of love is nothing but sin. But it’s unfortunate that the same love cannot be found in some churches; not even a small portion of it. And the Christians that should have been a giver of love are somehow the giver of hatred and backbiting. In Matthew 11:19 Jesus Christ said; “the Son of Man came eating and drinking, and they say, ‘Look, a glutton and a winebibber, a friend of tax collectors and sinners!’ But wisdom is justified by her children.” While Jesus Christ was a friend of sinners, His followers are haters of sinners. What a shame!
A life without purpose is a life without root. Find out what your purpose in life is and fulfill it. Living your life based on your religion with the hope that one day you will go to heaven is a waste of your precious time. You and I have no business in Heaven. According to Ps 115:16, it was boldly said that “the heaven, even the heavens, are the Lord’s; but the earth He has given to the children of men.”
It was clearly stated about Samson in Judges 13:2-5 that; “there was a certain man from Zorah, of the family of the Danites, whose name was Manoah; and his wife was barren and had no children. And the Angel of the Lord appeared to the woman and said to her, “Indeed now, you are barren and have borne no children, but you shall conceive and bear a son. Now therefore, please be careful not to drink wine or similar drink, and not to eat anything unclean. For behold, you shall conceive and bear a son. And no razor shall come upon his head, for the child shall be a Nazirite to God from the womb; and he shall begin to deliver Israel out of the hand of the Philistines.”
Right from when the mother conceived him she was forbidden to drink wine. Not because it was not good for her, but because it was not right for the child that was to be born. To be double sure of what was said, in Judges 13:6-14 it was further stated that; “so the woman came and told her husband, saying, “A Man of God came to me, and His countenance was like the countenance of the Angel of God, very awesome; but I did not ask Him where He was from, and He did not tell me His name. And He said to me, ‘Behold, you shall conceive and bear a son. Now drink no wine or similar drink, nor eat anything unclean, for the child shall be a Nazirite to God from the womb to the day of his death.'” Then Manoah prayed to the Lord, and said, “O my Lord, please let the Man of God whom You sent come to us again and teach us what we shall do for the child who will be born.” And God listened to the voice of Manoah, and the Angel of God came to the woman again as she was sitting in the field; but Manoah her husband was not with her. Then the woman ran in haste and told her husband, and said to him, “Look, the Man who came to me the other day has just now appeared to me!” So Manoah arose and followed his wife. When he came to the Man, he said to Him, “Are You the Man who spoke to this woman?” And He said, “I am.” Manoah said, “Now let Your words come to pass! What will be the boy’s rule of life, and his work?” So the Angel of the Lord said to Manoah, “Of all that I said to the woman let her be careful. She may not eat anything that comes from the vine, nor may she drink wine or similar drink, nor eat anything unclean. All that I commanded her let her observe.”
To every human being on the earth, there is a purpose for your existence. The question then is, do you know it or you are just religiously living your life by and by?
If you want to go far in life. If you want to fulfill purpose in life. If you want the earth to remember you for something remarkable good or bad. Yes, you heard me, good or bad; find your purpose here on earth and fulfill it.
Why must it be good or bad? Well, if all creatures are doing things right no one will force anyone to know God or serve God. Be honest with yourself. Are you serving God because you love God so much or you are serving Him because you wanted Him to end the pains in your life. People serve God because of what they want to get not necessarily because of what they have to offer and this is one simple fact that many religious leaders know that made them to exploit the people.
No one will serve God if there are no challenges in their lives. No one will call on the Lord if everything is working fine in their lives. So, those people doing bad things that you are praying against and God refused to answer your prayers are the very reasons why you know God and are serving Him. If God is to kill them today and free you from their grips, you will instantly forget God.
The children of Israel did the same. When Pharaoh was chasing them, they were calling on God and obeying every single instructions Moses was dishing out to them. But the moment Pharaoh was off their back; they did not only challenge Moses, they challenged God too. And God had to deal with them mercilessly. I’m sure you don’t want to find yourself in such circumstances.
Religion and education had made it so hard for people to find their purpose in life and follow the path of destiny that is made for their lives. But going by the history of the world, no man who had not first discovered himself or herself is worthy to manifest God’s eternal purpose for his or her life.
I’m sure you all know that all the gods in the world today are once human beings like you and I. Who live and breathe on this same Earth we live today. Sango the god of Thunder was my forefather and one of the past Alafin of Oyo. Ogun the god of Iron is his younger brother which made him my uncle. Oya the goddess of the Wind was my great great-grandmother and Osun the goddess of Water, Purity, Fertility, Love and Sensuality was my great, great-grandmother as well.
It was easier for them in those days to discover who they are simply because there was no religion or education to teach them or force them to believe that they are what they are not. Neither do they have parents that stop them from exploring their abilities.
How do all these people metamorphose from being human to becoming gods that people are worshipping today across the nations of the world?
Majority of the world achievers today both dead and alive are none religious individuals with little or no forms of formal education. Now, I’m not saying that education is bad. That’s not the point. Education is good but knowing who you are and living your life base on who you are is much more necessary than just been educated or religious.
I read the biography of Michael Jackson more than Twenty times. This guy had never been to any school. Never sat in the four walls of a classroom and yet he did what no one had ever done in the music industry and till date no one is yet to break his records. They called him King of Pop but I called him god of music. Pele whose real name is Edson Arantes is called the god of Football. He had never been to school and yet he did what no one had ever done in this history of Football.
Limitations are placed on so many people due to their lack of opportunity to acquire formal education. But the truth is, lack of education is never the problem to human achievements. Failure to put one’s brain to work is the issue.
I heard the story of Chief Mrs. Olori Emily Tinuade Adelusi the wife of the Oba of Aramoko Ekiti; how in her days as a trader was practically giving loans to women all over Ekiti and the environ to do business and how she was so industrious to the point that she was invited to serve on the board of a bank despite the fact that she never been to any school or know how to read or write. Her impacts in the town remain valid till date. Her calculation was always on point in her day; without calculator. And it doesn’t matter how much money you’re counting she’ll give you the accurate calculation.
While religion pays little or no attention to the use of the brain, the education seems to lock it up and cause it to reason and see things in a different manner from different perspectives which in most cases end up leaving you half fulfilled or not fulfilled at all.
Religion stops you from putting your brain to work by creating limitations of your mind. For example, in Deuteronomy 4:2, Moses said; “you shall not add to the word which I command you, nor take from it, that you may keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you.” Apostle John added to the word in Revelation 22:18-19 with a curse saying; “for I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds to these things, God will add to him the plagues that are written in this book; and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part from the Book of Life, from the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.”
Threatening people to stick to the things you’d said or saying is not God; is never God. I’m yet to read in the Bible where Jesus Christ placed a curse on people and force them to obey or keep to anything He’s teaching them.
When you made your message a compulsory thing for people to adhered to, then you’re no longer on the side of God, you are now been driven by the flesh. You’d become a danger to yourself and to everyone around you.
Revelation is progressive and so is information. Any information that does not have its root in revelation will never lead to transformation. And to have your path in destiny, transformation is the key. As a matter of fact, it is the only key you need to fulfill destiny. Every transformation must begin with information. You can only transform from what you used to be to become what you are destined to be when you are well informed. There is no transformation without healthy information. Even though we do not get to know the conversation between Jesus, Moses and Elijah, but we do know that Jesus Christ was transformed after the conversation in Matthew 17:1-2 when it was said that; “after six days Jesus took Peter, James, and John his brother, led them up on a high mountain by themselves; and He was transfigured before them. His face shone like the sun, and His clothes became as white as the light.” The same was said in Mark 9:2 where it was said that “now after six days Jesus took Peter, James, and John, and led them up on a high mountain apart by themselves; and He was transfigured before them”.
Until you are informed, you cannot transform and until you are transformed you remain deformed. And that is the situation of so many people in the world today. Every religion in the world prepared people to go to Heaven and never properly educate them to make the best use of their time here on Earth.
I recently heard one of the big Pastor Kumuyi saying that the Muslims don’t have to do evangelism to grow in number. They only have to get married early, marry as many wives as they can and have as many children as they can. Unlike the Christians who will get married late and not just that, the Man must have certain things before thinking of marriage.
Is Pastor Kumuyi right? Very right. There is no place in the bible where God said that a Man must marry one Wife or a Woman should marry one Husband. The Woman by the well, had had five husbands before Jesus meet her and said to her in John 4:16-18 saying; “go, call your husband, and come here.” The woman answered and said, “I have no husband.” Jesus said to her, “You have well said, ‘I have no husband,’ for you have had five husbands, and the one whom you now have is not your husband; in that you spoke truly.”
In the eyes of the religious folks, this woman is bad, evil, lack characters and good attitudes that is why she cannot keep a Man. But in the eyes of God, she’s only fulfilling the scripts that had been written concerning her life and destiny. A script she cannot change no matter how hard she tried.
I know some religious folks will say that God said a Man should not marry more than one wife. It is written in the Bible. Well, God never said so, Apostle Paul said so as guidance or let me say rule for any Man that desired to be a Bishop, serving in ministry. And he made that clear in 1 Timothy 3:1-7; “this is a faithful saying: If a man desires the position of a bishop, he desires a good work. A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, temperate, sober-minded, of good behavior, hospitable, able to teach; not given to wine, not violent, not greedy for money, but gentle, not quarrelsome, not covetous; one who rules his own house well, having his children in submission with all reverence (for if a man does not know how to rule his own house, how will he take care of the church of God?); not a novice, lest being puffed up with pride he fall into the same condemnation as the devil. Moreover he must have a good testimony among those who are outside, lest he fall into reproach and the snare of the devil.”
A man who does not desire the work of a bishop has no business with the sayings of Apostle Paul here. More so, that is not to say that Apostle Paul was right. Abraham had Three Wives, Jacob had Two Wives and Two Sex Partners, Moses had Two Wives, King David had Seventeen Wives and Two Hundred Sex Partners, King Solomon had Seven Hundred Wives and Three Hundred Sex Partners.
When King David slept with Bathsheba and killed Uriah, God sent Prophet Nathan to him in 2 Samuel 12:7-8 and said to David, “you are the man! Thus says the Lord God of Israel: ‘I anointed you king over Israel, and I delivered you from the hand of Saul. I gave you your master’s house and your master’s wives into your keeping, and gave you the house of Israel and Judah. And if that had been too little, I also would have given you much more!”
If by destiny you are supposed to live a certain life and you are not living it now, you are not fulfilling and the chances of you having eternal life is unsure. Lack of information regarding your life and destiny can ruin you. It is important to know what your life is all about and be to live your life accordingly. Living your life based on your religion will only destroy you.
I look at the life of Michael Jackson and Wizkid and I see lots of similarities. Michael Jackson was a lover of God and a good Christian before the church thrown him out. The church gave him a condition to forgo singing outside the church and singing only in the church or forgo the church and continue to sing outside the church. He chose the latter and today, his imparts worldwide is far greater than that of the church that thrown him out. Even after death, his imparts are still as strong as when he was alive. The same happened to Wizkid. His first musical album was a gospel music. He sold just one copy which was bought by his mother despite the fact that he did the album launch in the church and the Pastors and the church members were there. Today, I believe those Pastors and church member can no longer reach him. We don’t even know their names.
Now, I’m not against you serving God. But serving God is never by being religious or gathering together in one place every day, every week for fellowship. No! that is activities not serving God. Serving God Jesus Christ said is to love the Lord, love neighbor and love your enemy and He made this clear in Matthew 5:43-48 saying; “you have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust. For if you love those who love you, what reward have you? Do not even the tax collectors do the same? And if you greet your brethren only, what do you do more than others? Do not even the tax collectors do so? Therefore you shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect.”
He did not stop there, He went further in Matthew 22:37-40 saying; “you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.”
Now, how can you love your neighbor and your enemy? Jesus Christ taught us that in Matthew 25:31-46 saying; “when the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the holy angels with Him, then He will sit on the throne of His glory. All the nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate them one from another, as a shepherd divides his sheep from the goats. And He will set the sheep on His right hand, but the goats on the left. Then the King will say to those on His right hand, ‘Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.’
“Then the righteous will answer Him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give You drink? When did we see You a stranger and take You in, or naked and clothe You? Or when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?’ And the King will answer and say to them, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.’ “Then He will also say to those on the left hand, ‘Depart from Me, you cursed, into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels: for I was hungry and you gave Me no food; I was thirsty and you gave Me no drink; I was a stranger and you did not take Me in, naked and you did not clothe Me, sick and in prison and you did not visit Me.’ “Then they also will answer Him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did not minister to You?’ Then He will answer them, saying, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to Me.’ And these will go away into everlasting punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”
When you are good to people, don’t ever think that you are doing them a favour. Not at all, you are only doing yourself a favour. And until you come to a conclusion that without people in your life fulfilling destiny or finding purpose in life remains a mirage; you’ll continue to wallow in failure. Even God cannot do anything on Earth without the involvement of a Man.
Finding your purpose in life and fulfilling it is your only ticket to eternity. Therefore, find your purpose in life, discover the reason for your existence here in the Earth, do everything within your power to actualize it. You have no idea of how many destinies your destiny will help to rise if only you can fulfilled yours. Destines are intertwine and you can’t separate it. Once one destiny is held down, all the other destinies attached to it automatically becomes stranded and will continue to go in circle until something supernatural and physical happens.
Aaron could not become a Priest until Moses became a Prophet. Saul could not become a King until the people demanded for a King. Elisha could not become a Prophet until Elijah messed up and God rejected him. David could not become a King until Saul failed to carry out God’s assignment. Destinies are intertwine; find out what yours is and fulfill it.
