The president and the General overseer of UACC, Rev. Dr. James Bayo Owoyemi has urged Nigerian Youths to be Deligent and Discipline in their Chosen Endeavours any where they find themselves.
He made this known in a statement signed by the Media Director of UACC, Pastor Paul Erakhifu.
The president and the General overseer of UACC, Rev. Dr. James Bayo Owoyemi also stated that youth are vital in nation development. He said this at the 2023 UACC National Youth conference in Lagos.
Rev. Dr. Owoyemi quoted Hebrew 11:24, he said the first step to be a part nation development is to know where you belong, and identification of who you are and what you are sent to do.
Rev Dr. Owoyemi said every young people in Nigeria are fond of the word “JAPA” which means to leave Nigeria. He encouraged the youths to believe in God and be dedicated to the things of God. “Our youths should be deligent and discipline in their chosen endeavours any where they find themselves.
He urged the youths outside Nigeria to collaborate with their counterpart in Nigeria to contribute to develop the nation and move it to the next level.
Furthermore, Rev. Owoyemi quoted Daniel 1:4 and explained that the three Hebrew men and Daniel are well disciplined to the extent that they disregarded the meal of the Palace and that of the King. They refused to change their focus and destiny to ordinary meal.
He advised the youths to be well disciplined and holy in whatever they do “you today’s enjoyment is not worth where God is taking you to, so flee sin” He added.
The UACC General Overseer, Rev. Dr. Owoyemi prayed and blessed the youths. He asked for God’s favor and honour upon the youths.
The first lecture of the conference was delivered by Pastor Tope Adeusi who spoke on the topic “Labour of Love. He quoted 1thesselonian 1:3 and explained that our labour of love will yield the reward of gaining everlasting joy in heaven.
In the second lecture by Pastor Dr. Simeon Olatunde talked on “Youth and Drugs.” He advised the youth not to take drugs. He quoted Romans 12:1 and Psalm 1:1. He said God listened to those with pure hearts.
Dr. Olatunde advised the youths to deviate from taking drugs.
Also, Pastor Emmanuel Olorunyomi speaks on “Reward for godly marriage” while Pastor Paul Erakhifu gave lecture on the IMPACT OF SOCIAL MEDIA ON THE YOUTH.
Other side attractions during the conference were Nativity Night, quiz, power night amongst others.
To round up the 58th supreme executive meeting and youth conference, the G.O spoke on “Reward of those that diligently seek God”. Which its reference is taken from Hebrew 11:1-6. He said God is the rewarder of all man and he as a standard which cannot be compromised and a the best thing a man can have is God for there is a reward for that.
He furtherly emphasize on some certain point which are the keypoint to get God’s reward which are Determination, Don’t be weary and Ensure you do all things because of God. “Whatever a man sow he shall reap”He added.
Rev.Dr. Owoyemi finally appreciate all executives for the success of the youth conference and supreme executive meeting saying its the best of its kind in the history of the church.
