A slight jolt was recorded on Friday, as Nigeria’s confirmed COVID-19 cases shot to 213 on Friday.
This brings the total prevalent figure of the infection in Nigeria to 58062, while the number of deaths also got to 1103, as two deaths were recorded on Friday.
So far, no fewer than 49606 people have been treated and discharged having tested negative to the infection, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, (NCDC) stated on its website.
The agency said only 17 states of the federation accounted for the new prevalent cases of 213. These states are – Lagos (51), Plateau (51), FCT (29), Rivers (18), Ondo (12), Oyo (9), Osun (8), Gombe (7), Ogun (7), Kaduna (5), Enugu (4), Edo (3), Jigawa (3), Kano (3), Benue (1), Delta (1), Sokoto (1)
