The Ekiti State Commissioner for Information, High Chief Franklin Taiwo Olatunbosun, made an engaging visit to the Ekiti State Bureau of Tourism Development’s stand at the ongoing EKIFEST 24 exhibition ground at the Fajuyi Pavilion,Ado Ekiti
During his visit, he lauded the Bureau’s efforts in promoting Ekiti’s rich cultural tourism heritage and reaffirmed his commitment to collaborative efforts aimed at boosting tourism within the state.

Accompanied by the Director General of the Bureau, Wale Ojo-Lanre, Chief Olatunbosun toured the exhibition space, which showcased a range of attractions from the state, including traditional games, local arts, and tourism-related information that highlights attractions for prospective visitors.

In his remarks, High Chief Olatunbosun recognized the strategic importance of tourism in Ekiti’s socio-economic development.
“Our cultural heritage is one of our greatest assets. It is essential that we work together to promote and package it effectively for both local and international audiences,” he stated.
The Commissioner emphasized the need for synergy between the Information Ministry and the Bureau to create a unified message about what Ekiti has to offer.

Ojo-Lanre appreciated the Commissioner’s visit and the interest shown in the Bureau’s initiatives.
“Collaboration with the Ministry of Information is crucial, as it allows us to effectively communicate our tourism potentials and draw in more visitors to the beautiful landmarks of Ekiti State,” he said.

High Chief Olatunbosun pledged to provide the necessary support and resources from the Ministry of Information to enhance the Bureau’s promotional campaigns, ensuring that Ekiti State’s tourism offerings receive the visibility they deserve.

The partnership is expected to focus on creating informative content, promotional materials, and campaigns that will attract not only domestic tourists but also international visitors looking for cultural experiences.

As EKIFEST 24 unfolds, the Ekiti State Bureau of Tourism Development remains committed to showcasing the state’s uniqueness, and with the support of the Information Ministry, aims to elevate Ekiti’s status as a premier tourist destination.
