Barcelona boss Xavi Hernandez has reacted to his side’s meeting with Manchester United in the Europa League play-off.
The Catalan is angry with the draw, describing it as the ‘worst draw’ adding that Barcelona has been handed the ‘most difficult opponent’.
The draw on Monday places Barcelona against Manchester United in February for a spot in the last 16.
Barcelona dropped to the Europa after coming behind Bayern Munich and Inter Milan in their Champions League group,
And Xavi says his side has had ‘no luck’ once again.
“It is the most difficult opponent once again. But we will look forward to it,” Xavi told reporters, according to Metro.
“They are a historic side, they have grown a lot with Ten Hag, and they have great players. It’s the worst draw we could have got. Once again. No luck.”
