A rising music star, Nigerian-Cape Verdean twin artist, widely known as Jameson Dior, Chijioke James Ijeoma, has released his new single titled Dance on Play today.
Ijeoma said this in a statement made available to newsmen, saying that the song is inspired by living in the moment, staying focused on your dreams no matter the odds, and being grateful for life’s blessings.
Showing his intriguing lyrical delivery and music adaptability as a rapper and songwriter, he noted that his songs speak about being happy, living their dreams, and staying positive about life.
Ijeoma, also known as Jameson Dior hails from Ulo Ano Amandugba in Imo State, Nigeria. Growing up in Lagos, he received his early education at St. Peter’s Nursery and Primary School in Alaba International before furthering his studies at Ojo High College in Ojo, Lagos. Jameson ventured to Cape Verde at a young age, where his musical journey unfolded.
He said “My passion for music led me to work as a choir member and songwriter in a local church, honing my craft and nurturing my talent. In 2011, l embarked on a significant chapter of my career when l joined the band group “Temple and Foundation” as their lead vocalist. With the band, l toured extensively across the islands of Cape Verde, captivating audiences with my soulful voice and magnetic stage presence.
“In 2012, l and my bandmates found ourselves thrust into the political arena when our music was enlisted for a presidential campaign—a testament to the power and resonance of our artistry. Through our performances, we became a voice for the people, spreading messages of hope, unity, and change”, he said.
