The Ogun state former governor, Chief Olusegun Aremo Osoba has described his relationship with Gov. Dapo Abiodun as very cordial and mutual.
Chief Osoba who disclosed this in an interview with journalists in Abeokuta, the state capital, noting that the issue of God- fatherism has not been in vogue in the state, as a result of mutual harmony that exists between both of them.
He stressed that since the inception of Abiodun-led administration in 2019 in the state, he has refused to interfere with his government in any way, adding that he has never suggested anybody to him to be placed in any particular position.
Akinrogun of Egbaland further noted that he has never put any pressure on him or to nominate anybody for any office in the state since he assumed office in 2019.
“As you can see that I have never nominated anybody for him for any political reasons, rather I have always play a fatherly role in the state. You can never even hear my name mentioned in anyway round, it is his administration, so we should let him be, he knows what is good for him, so I have never interfered in his administration,” Chief Osoba said.
The former governor of Ogun state and national leader of All Progressives Congress (APC), pointed out that the relationship of God- fatherism between both of them is based on mutual respect and understanding for each other, saying that he has no rancour whatsoever with him since his inception of his administration in the state.
According to Chief Osoba; “I respect him as Chief Executive Officer of the state and current father of the state. I give him that respect and he reciprocates it with respect to me too as a national leader of the great party.”
The APC national leader maintained that there is harmony between him and the governor of the state, which has really transcend to the peace, harmony and tranquility in the state.
