Seeking a better academic atmosphere, the Ogun State Government has required support from well-meaning individuals in the society to invest more in developmental projects in schools across the State, to further enhance teaching and learning.

The appeal came to the fore by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, Mrs. Abosede Ogunleye, during the Commissioning of a block of four toilet facilities donated for staff and learners of Ogunmakin High School in Obafemi Owode Local Government Area of the State by the retired and immediate past Principal of the school, Mrs. Toyin Oduntan.

Mrs. Ogunleye noted that the enormous responsibilities of education could not be carried by the government alone, hence the need for private individuals, corporate bodies, organisations to support the current administration in the State with different projects.

The Permanent Secretary appreciated the donor, Mrs. Toyin Oduntan for the soul-lifting and remarkable project that shows her commitment to humanitarian gestures, enjoining the beneficiaries to make good use of the donation.

She said, “I am using this avenue to call other philanthropists to emulate this kind of gesture of Mrs. Oluwatoyin Oduntan in other to collectively develop our schools, in tandem with “Building Our Future Together” agenda of the Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun”.

Speaking, the donor, Mrs. Oduntan said the passion to promote hygiene and the well-being of the staff and learners had prompted the donation of the project, which also serves as a retirement gift.
