Olam Agri is committed to food security in Nigeria – Nair

Olam Agri has expressed its commitment to continue to collaborate with the Federal Government of Nigeria to ensure food security and sustainability.

Olam Agri’s Managing Director Mr. Anil Nair, disclosed this during a courtesy visit to Nigeria’s Vice President Senator Kashim Shettima in Abuja, yesterday.

He said Olam Agri is a household name in the agricultural value chain and this it will continue to put into good use by ensuring that federal government’s initiative on food security becomes a huge success.

Receiving the Nair and his team, the Vice President Senator Shettima said the government would be expecting to see that Olam puts its over three decades of experience and expertise in the agricultural sector and across the food value chain ti good use.

He said the Tinubu administration is committed to ensuring food sufficiency in the country and is leading the advocacy for feeding the people from what the nation produced.

He said this is the only way Nigeria can sustainably advance the cause of food security, an initiative, he added the federal government is resolutely committed.

Other members of the delegation were Ade Adefeko, Director, Corporate and Regulatory Affairs, Olam Agri and Dr Umaru Ismail, Chief Agronomist at Olam Agri’s Rice Farm.
