The President and General Overseer of United Apostolic Church of Christ (UACC), worldwide, Rev. Dr. James Bayo Owoyemi said women are vital instrument in nations development, they are special specie that should be nurtured and well taken care of.
Rev. Owoyemi made this statement at the commencement of the first UACC Women Conference in Moniya town in Ibadan, Oyo State. He said the role of women should be appreciated because they combine the roles of a Mother and wife in the home. They should be applauded and honoured for doing us (the husband and children) proud.

The UACC General Overseer, said “this is the first UACC women conference with the theme – Christian Family in a Time Like This – Roles of Women it will be an avenue for our women to be more knowledgeable and improve their attitude in the home, church and their business.

Rev. Owoyemi further declared the Conference open and urged all participants to be more disciplined, dedicated and work hard to maintain sanity and love in their family, church and the nation because they are vital instruments to nation development.

The Chairperson of UACC Women and Pastors Wives Association, Rev. Mrs. Mary Joke Owoyemi said women should be wise and build their homes (Prov. 24:3). They should pray for the wisdom of God to maintain peace in their homes. She further said this conference will be special because we have grouped the women into four (4); Excellent, Success, Favour and Happiness.

She said our women should do what they are supposed to do, an angel or prayer cannot do all things for us, but with good character and God’s wisdom we would excel.


The convener, in her message, titled Woman, owner of the home. Quoting Prov. 14:1, 24:3-4 and Titus 2:3-5, she encouraged women to know that it is their duties to establish their homes, following Christs’ principles of marriage, not neglecting prayer and good virtuous. She further said women can make their marriages the best of all marriages and heaven on earth.

The Grand patron of UACC Good women, Rev. (Dr.) Mrs. Victoria Olorunyomi, JP, felicitates with UACC women for this new innovation and commended the President / G.O and his wife for God’s grace and wisdom upon them. She advised the women to have the fear of God, she prayed that God should empower them to excel and do well in all their future endeavours.
The Secretary of UACC Women, Rev. Mrs. Mary Alo, welcomed the women to this maiden Women conference. She urged the participants to concentrate and be attentive to all the lectures during the four days’ conference.


In his sermon, the General Secretary of UACC, Pastor Joseph Eniola Oluwatuase preached on the topic – Women are powerful. He said women are so important to the extent that without woman, no children, without woman no society, without woman no peace at home, no woman no development. Women have the power to build their homes, church of God and the society at large.

Pastor Mrs. Rachael Olorunyomi, who gave the first lecture during the conference talked on Roles of Women in Making our homes Heaven on Earth. She quoted Romans 8:14 and stressed that women should be submissive and have the fear of God. She said spiritual, physical, financial, wisdom, love supports are variety roles paramount in the progress of the women folks.

The Guest Speaker and Founder Mending Lives Foundation, Rev. Dr. Mrs. Olufunke Adetuberu who speaks on Christian Family in a time like this – Roles of Women. She said women are important and threat to the devil and the kingdom of darkness because a woman with the fear and spirit of God would bring down any principality of darkness.


Rev. Adetuberu stressed that “you can never estimate the power of a woman, they are so powerful to the extent that the woman can get and achieve whatever they want”. The woman is mandated to play a significant role in the home and society – man is the head of the home, the spirit of the women rules the home.


She further said women are elegant, beautiful and the woman with the fear of God can make great impact by transforming their homes and the society. She added that the woman has 38 solid powers, which include fear of God, power of word, watch your friends, power of stability etc. Also she said sex, communication and money are vital in any relationship.


Those that attended the conference are all UACC trustees, UACC ministers of God, Good Women, Blessed Youth Organisation members, choir, drama minsters, protocol officers, media practitioners, ushers, public relation officers, technical/utilities personnel and representatives from the following States; Ondo, Oyo, Osun, Ogun, Lagos, Ekiti, Rivers, Kwara, FCT Abuja, Benin Republic, Manchester, United Kingdom, amongst others.
