A charitable organization known as -The Change Agent Foundation International (CAFI) in its poise to help reduce the scourge of poverty amongst Nigerians has empowered over 150 beneficiaries with trade equipment, land, cash grants and more.
The President of the Foundation, Hon Oladipupo Okeyomi at the event to commemorate a decade of the group’s benevolence held in Meiran area of Lagos state on Thursday, stated his motivation for the kind gesture that has come to stay all year round.
Okeyomi note that according to the theme of the 2023 edition of CAFI event,” Decade of Empowerment and Political Emancipation”, it was geared toward restoring the hopes of many in spite of the prevailing harsh economic realities in the country.
“Here today we have over 150 beneficiaries, some of whom will become landlords’, many will also receive cash grants, grinding machines, pop corn machines, shoe making machines and other items that will further enhance their productivity and consequently aid their economy.
“I have always been a good giver because anytime God bless me, I see it as a time to give back to my people, people should learn to give out to the downtrodden, that is the fact of life, I will give continually.”
Asked if the gesture has any political undertone? Okeyomi refuted but added that if it is a divine arrangement no one can stop it, “if God say yes, no one can say no “.
The event recorded a large turnout of CAFI members across the southwest states from Lagos, Ogun, Oyo, Ekiti and Ondo all cladded in graceful Ankara fabric to empower supporters.
The APC apex leader in Ojokoro LCDA Hon Adeleke Ipaye in a chat with newsmen at the gathering described CAFI’s president as a man of honour that need to be emulated.
“Honourable Okeyomi has portrayed great strength in meeting the need of his people across board, in Ojokoro LCDA we don’t have anyone that can meet the people’s need like CAFI president Hon Oladipupo Okeyomi, he is the only one that is capable in meeting the plight of our people and we wish him well”, Ipaye said.
