2023: INEC parleys security agencies, reaffirms hitch free election in Lagos

The Lagos State Resident Electoral Commissioner of Independent Electoral Commission (INEC) Mr. Olusegun Agbaje has assured electorates that the forth coming 2023 general election, would be conducted under a serene atmosphere free of security breaches.

Mr Agbaje gave the assurance while hosting an inuagural parley of Inter Agency Consultative Committee on Election Security (ICCES) on Thursday 17th November, 2022 at the INEC state’s office at 6,Birrel Avenue,Sabo Yaba.

In a statement signed by Mrs Adenike Tadese the INEC’s HOD Voter Education and Publicity the committee was said to have agreed to design security strategies to deploy before, during and after the 2023 general election.

This is geared towards ensuring the security of the electorate and the entire electoral process.

INEC further assures the good people of Lagos state that the forth coming general election would be conducted under an atmosphere of peace and harmony.

The parley was chaired by the INEC Resident Commissioner Mr Olusegun Agbaje and co chaired by the State’s Commissioner of Police Lagos State Command Mr Abiodun Alabi, Heads of Security Agencies in the state were also present as well as the Adminstrative secretary of INEC.
