Residents of Badagry Constituency I have commended Lagos Reporters for its recently released 1,000-Day Performance Ranking of members of the Lagos State House of Assembly, praising the recognition of their representative, Hon. Dr. Solomon Saanu Bonu, who emerged 7th in the overall assessment.

The independent ranking, conducted by Lagos Reporters, evaluated all 40 lawmakers in the Assembly based on constituency engagement, accessibility to the public, impact on community development, and verified feedback from residents.

Reacting to the development, several constituents expressed satisfaction with Hon. Bonu’s performance, describing him as a grassroots-oriented lawmaker whose projects and initiatives have positively impacted lives across Badagry.

Raji Olarenwaju Taofeek appreciated Lagos Reporters for what he described as an objective assessment, noting that the ranking reflects the visible projects and outreach programmes facilitated by the lawmaker in the constituency.

Similarly, Samson Deyon Mautin described Hon. Bonu as “a man of the people,” commending his commitment to community development and inclusive representation.

He encouraged the lawmaker to “keep the flag flying” in service to Badagry, Lagos State, and Nigeria at large.

Mary Ganthonu congratulated the lawmaker on the recognition, praying for greater strength and capacity for him to deliver more dividends of democracy to the people.

Ogunsanya Simeon stated that the lawmaker’s “performance is speaking,” expressing optimism that he would attain even greater heights in his political career.

Wheto Williams Olatunji also congratulated Hon. Bonu, describing his performance as commendable and expressing confidence in his continued political relevance ahead of the 2027 electoral cycle.

Recall that Hon. Bonu, who represents Badagry Constituency I in the Lagos State House of Assembly, has facilitated several projects and community-based interventions aimed at improving infrastructure, empowerment, and social welfare within the constituency.

Badagry residents were happy with the level Bonu Solomon engaging with legislative business. Measuring up with the ranking members in the house is a thing of joy and hope for Badagry. In its report, Lagos Reporters said the ranking followed months of fieldwork, data gathering, constituency inspections, and direct feedback from residents across the 40 constituencies in Lagos State.

The platform noted that its evaluation uncovered concerns in some constituencies, including limited lawmaker visibility and restricted engagement with the broader public. It stated that the ranking was designed to strengthen transparency, accountability, and performance tracking in Lagos governance.

Among the top-ranked lawmakers listed in the report are Adedeji Temitope (Ifako Ijaiye 01), (Engr.) Yishawu Olusegun Gbolahan (Eti Osa 02), Sylvester O. Ogunkelu (Epe 02), Mudashiru A. Obasa (Agege 01), Mojisola  Lasbat Meranda (Apapa 01), Bonu Solomon Saanu (Badagry  01) Desmond O. (Surulere 01), and Olumoh Saad Lukman (Ajeromi-Ifelodun 01).

Lagos Reporters reiterated its commitment to monitoring legislative performance and urged lawmakers to deepen their engagement with constituents to make their mandates more meaningful and effective.
