Leading Pay-TV provider, MultiChoice Nigeria, has introduced a support package to cushion the impact of its recent tariff adjustments on DStv and GOtv subscribers.
The company, in a statement to customers on Monday, confirmed that new subscription rates will take effect from 1 March.
As part of the relief measures, customers who renew their subscriptions before their current plan expires will continue paying the old rates for a limited period.
This initiative, according to the company is aimed at rewarding subscriber loyalty while easing the transition to the new pricing structure.
Additionally, the company said subscribers can benefit from the ongoing Step Up offer, which runs until 31 March.
The offer grants both active and disconnected users access to higher-tier content at no extra cost when they pay for a package above their current subscription.
To further support customers, MultiChoice said it would announce a price reduction for Showmax, its streaming service, on 28 February. This move is intended to make live sports, movies, and general entertainment more affordable for subscribers.
Under the revised pricing structure, the DStv Compact package will now cost N19,000, while Compact Plus moves to N30,000. DStv Premium will rise to N44,500.
For GOtv, the Supa package will now cost N16,800, while GOtv Supa+ subscribers will pay N11,400. The GOtv Max package increases to N8,500, and GOtv Jinja will now be N3,900.
These adjustments come as MultiChoice seeks to balance operational costs with continued access to premium entertainment for its subscribers.
