The estwhile Chief of Army Staff General Taoreed Lagbaja, aged 56, is dead.
The Chief of Army Staff’s death was announced by the Nigeria’s Military High Command Wednesday morning.
Lagbaja, was appointed by the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu last year, when he changed the guards of the military high command.
Lagbaja has been for some time been undergoing treatment for an undisclosed illness and abount a week ago, he was rumured to have passed on.
The late Chief of Army Staff was replaced by Lt.-Gen Oluyede, who on Monday, was decorated by President Tinubu, and may likely now have his appointment which was on acting capacity confirmed.
